Sabin Jacques

Sabin Jacques
Description
Sabin Jacques has built a stellar reputation in the world of traditional Québécois music. Originally from Gaspésie, he is widely recognized both in Quebec and on the international stage. From 1992 to 2009, he collaborated with renowned artists such as Édith Butler, Hugues Aufray, Jean-Pierre Ferland, and Grégory Charles. He also took part in the tribute to Alfred Montmarquette, initiated by the late harmonica player Gabriel Labbé.
Since settling in Chaudière-Appalaches in 2009, he co-founded the Camp de Souches à Oreilles, a vibrant hub for the transmission of living heritage. As an instructor, he has guided hundreds of musicians—both amateur and professional—in discovering or deepening their knowledge of traditional Québécois music. Recently honored with multiple awards for his latest album, Grandes Rencontres, Sabin Jacques is known for his sensitive yet virtuosic playing.
