Martine Billette
Description
Martine Billette is recognized as one of Quebec’s top step dancers, coupled with being an exceptional accompanying pianist. She took her step dancing lessons alongside Serge Mathon, Martin Duhème, and Gilles Roy. In the early 2000s, Martine danced alongside Pierre Chartrand and Marie-Soleil Pilette in a trio named Rapetipetam, then with Gilles Roy and The Stepping Ambassadors. As a pianist, musicians in the traditional music scene appreciate Martine Billette’s work, including violinists André Brunet (touring worldwide, from the United States to Japan) and Pierre Schryer, as well as the groups “Manigance” and “Ménage à trois”.
