Jérémy Charest

Description

His interest in playing the accordion began after his maternal grandmother introduced him to traditional music at the age of 8. He honed his skills on the accordion with Sabin Jacques, who introduced him, among other things, to the Montmagny repertoire, which he gravitated towards. Around the age of 14, he met Sébastien Dionne and Marcel Messervier, who became mentors of great importance to him. The repertoire of dance music and Marcel Messervier continues to captivate and fascinate him, and he considers himself immensely fortunate to have the mentorship and friendship of Sébastien Dionne through music. He had the opportunity to perform for the Drummondville Accordionists Association on their 25th anniversary, and on the stage of the AQLF in Quebec City. He is delighted to participate in the Carrefour mondial de L’Accordéon this year.
