Eric St-Pierre
Description
Originally from St-Pierre-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Éric St-Pierre has been playing the accordion since the age of 3. When he was that young, his father couldn’t leave for work without playing him some accordion tunes.
He has always continued to make music with various groups that entertained at social dance events. Music has allowed him to travel extensively to France, England, and Cuba. He also performed at the Francophonie Games in Ottawa. He is among the traditional music artists of Quebec who regularly perform at the CMA. He has recorded with the group Les Tukru as well as two solo albums; “L’Hommage” and a self-titled album “Éric St-Pierre.” His playing has been greatly influenced by Marcel Messervier and Philippe Bruneau.
