Description
Mario Bruneau studied music at Collège St-Laurent and CEGEP Vanier, deepening his jazz knowledge. He composed for TV5, the NFB, and worked with prominent Québécois artists like Diane Dufresne and Plume Latraverse.
He performed on major stages in Montreal, including Club Soda, the Spectrum, and the Studio Théâtre at Place des Arts. In the early ‘90s, he fell in love with Musette and dedicated himself to the genre. He regularly performs solo or in a duo with Hélène Cardinal, a Piaf interpreter, producing a critically acclaimed original album featured at the Francofolies de Montréal.
A piano tuner for 50 years and an accordion tuner for 20, he is also the author of the Accordion Guide.
