Originally from Pintendre (South Shore of Québec), Valérie Plante received her first piano accordion at the age of 11. She spent several years teaching music at the elementary level while also giving piano accordion lessons at Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy and Université Laval.

Passionate about pedagogy, she completed a master’s degree in instrumental didactics for piano accordion at Université Laval. As part of her studies, she undertook internships at the renowned CNIMA in France and in Argentina, where she deepened her understanding of tango and traditional Argentine music.

Valérie has also authored a piano accordion teaching method and is actively pursuing several related development projects.
