The duo brings together Viivi Maria Saarenkylä and J-P Piirainen, two leading voices of Finland’s new generation of folk and world music artists. A prolific guitarist and composer, J-P Piirainen is known for his wide-ranging work in traditional and contemporary projects. Award-winning accordionist Viivi Maria Saarenkylä has built an international career over the past decade, performing on major folk, world music, and accordion festival stages worldwide. She received the Music Moves Europe Talent Award in 2021 with her group VILDÁ and was named Accordion Artist of the Year in Finland in 2018.
