Bernard Lafargue
Bernard Lafargue
Description
Originally from the islands of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, Bernard Lafargue discovered the chromatic accordion with wonder at the age of 12. In 1978, he attended a performance by the renowned concert artist Christian Di-Maccio, who gifted him his first accordion method and encouraged him in his early musical endeavors. Thanks to Di-Maccio, Bernard developed a fast and precise playing style, enabling him to win first prize in his category at the “Regional Eliminations of the Coupe de France in Paris” in 1982. He moved to Quebec in 1994, drawn to the region’s charm. There, he entertained guests at some of the most renowned hotels and restaurants in the Quebec City area, including Château Frontenac, Hilton Hotel, La Tyrolienne, Café de la Paix, and Au Parmesan.
