Doc. Raimondas Sviackevičius, head of the accordion department at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, has an impressive musical career. A graduate of the academy himself, he further honed his skills with notable composers and accordionists in Poland and Finland. Throughout his career, he has won numerous awards and accolades.

As a soloist, Sviackevičius has performed with various symphonic and chamber orchestras, and has appeared in numerous festivals both nationally and internationally. In addition to his solo performances, he actively collaborates with other musicians and ensembles, often exploring experimental and jazz music.

Sviackevičius is also heavily involved in organizing accordion events, serving as the artistic director of international accordion festivals in Vilnius and Palanga since 2008.
