Chanter la Pomme

Chanter la Pomme
Description
Chanter la Pomme is a duo featuring Alison Gowan (QC) on the hurdy-gurdy and Jan Le Clair (ON) on the accordion. Their music blends the rich timbres of these two instruments, creating dynamic interpretations inspired by traditional and neo-traditional dance tunes and songs from Central Europe and beyond.
As original members of the Swamp Ward Orchestra, the duo showcases a wide range of musical influences, from classical to klezmer. They have traveled across Canada, performing at major folk festivals in Calgary, Winnipeg, and Lunenburg, as well as at Festival Chants de Vielles (Montérégie) and Dance Flurry in New York.
