Description

The Accordeus Ensemble, comprised of nine musicians from the Quebec City region, offers an innovative approach to the accordion, exploring various musical styles through reinvented arrangements. Founded about ten years ago by the renowned composer and arranger Alfred Marin, the ensemble presents a diverse repertoire, blending classical, popular, and Quebecois pieces, captivating audiences of all generations.

Alfred Marin, holding a bachelor’s degree in viola and a master’s degree in singing from Laval University, is a prominent figure in Quebec’s lyrical art scene. As a choir conductor for over 25 years, he has performed alongside prestigious orchestras and renowned performers, while maintaining a special interest in the accordion since his youth. A prolific composer and arranger, his compositions have been recorded under various labels, reflecting his passion for both ancient and contemporary music.
