Magari is a Catalan duo deeply connected to the dance and traditional music of the Pyrenees. Composed of Liv Hallum on diatonic accordion and Ivan Garriga on violin, the group recently created a brand-new repertoire. Conceived in the small village of Pedra, in Cerdanya, Magari is the journey of two friends in search of their own unique sound.

“Diumenge” is their debut album, featuring original compositions in folk dance styles such as mazurka, schottische, circassian circle, and waltz. With over a decade of shared musical experience, Ivan Garriga and Liv Hallum have honed their craft by playing traditional repertoire, fueling their desire to create a more personal sound through original compositions. Inspired by Pyrenean village dance traditions and bal-folk, Magari brings these new melodies to life, offering a fresh perspective on tradition.
