Gino Lavoie et François Dumas
Description
Gino Lavoie hails from Sagard, a small village nestled between Charlevoix and Saguenay. He discovered his passion for the diatonic accordion at the age of 11. In 1998, along with other traditional music enthusiasts, he founded the Association des Accordéonistes de la région de Drummondville (AARD), which now boasts over 100 active members from various regions of Quebec. Today, Gino primarily dedicates himself to teaching the diatonic accordion and occasionally participates in traditional music performances in Quebec.
François Dumas, although the violin is his primary instrument, is also a skilled accompanist on guitar and double bass. Folk music has been his main passion since a young age, and he enjoys performing at a wide variety of events. Versatile, he adapts to various musical styles including Quebecois, French, bluegrass, and children’s music.
